National Competition Verification Registry

Official Verification Notice for Schools and Parents

Due to the high national profile of the Nigeria Spelling Bee, several entities have registered similar domain variations, created unverified spelling programs, or used confusingly similar branding to solicit registration fees from unsuspecting schools and parents.

To maintain transparency and integrity in Nigerian basic and secondary education, the Spelling Bee in Nigeria Educational Portal maintains this official public verification directory.

Official Social Media Channels

The authentic Nigeria Spelling Bee operates exclusively under these verified social media accounts:

• Facebook: facebook.com/NG.SpellingBee
• Instagram: @nigeriaspellingbee
• X (formerly Twitter): @ng_spellingbee
• TikTok: @nigeria.spelling.bee

School Invitation Letter Verification Protocol

If your school receives an invitation letter to participate in a spelling bee competition in Nigeria, conduct this 3-step authentication before making payments:

1. Inspect Endorsement Logos: Does the official letterhead include the formal endorsement seals of the Federal Ministry of Education and collaboration with the National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC)?
2. Check the Payment Recipient: Legitimate national competitions process registration fees through secure, automated gateways on nigeriaspellingbee.com or verified corporate accounts belonging to the Bee Spelling Competition Initiative. Never pay into an individual's personal bank account.
3. Confirm with the Registry: If you receive an invitation from any third party claiming to be an official national championship, contact the helpline at +234 905 662 4866 or email info@nigeriaspellingbee.com with a copy of the invitation for immediate verification.
